Fuego
arcade game for Commodore 64, 1983

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fuego is a spaceship firefighting game
where you have to defeat all the orange
enemies. You can only shot, when you
are in a row without strokes. Beware,
enemies also can shoot and kill you.
You will also die, if you get in touch
with them or with the white insects.
These insects try to touch the twelve
purple strokes in the maze. Once they
have touched them, they will start to
change the colour to red, orange and
then yellow before they're gone.
If you have defeated all orange enemies
before you have lost all your lives,
you will reach the next level.
You will get bonus points for every
remaining stroke when level cleared.
You start with 8 lives. As written on
the page before, getting shot by the
orange enemies will kill you one life.
Same result has getting in touch with
them or the white insects. If the last
life is gone, the game is over.
8 lives are a lot, you will say. The
longer you stay in a level, the more
dangerous are the enemies. Be careful
and try to clear the level as fast as
possible. Try to hold as many strokes
as possible. Every 1000 points bonus
gives you an extra life. Getting out
of the level without losing any stroke
will give you up to 3 extra lives. No
extra life awarded if any trainer on.
If the game is over, the high-score is
stored and you can try to beat ii in
the next round.
Have fun with this classic game!
