Your tribe has hunted here for many
generations. But the world around you
is changing rapidly.
Each winter lasts longer than the last.
This year, snow is already falling in
early autumn. Without sufficient
winter supplies, many will die. It is
inevitable to find new hunting grounds.
You where chosen to lead the tribe into
the uncertain future.
In this game you are leading a
prehistoric tribe of hunters and
gatherers. Your journey leads through
a hostile landscape and you have to
make difficult decisions, that will
have an impact on life and death. Make
sure, that as many of your tribe as
possible survive the journey.
Game Screen
The screen is divided into three
sections. The map is at the top. Your
current location flashes and is marked
with a hunter icon. At the bottom left,
you'll find detailed information about
your current location. At the bottom
right, you'll find the action menu and
all relevant information about your
tribe.
Map
All locations and the routes between
them are visible on the map. Special
locations are highlighted as follows:
MAMMOTH HERD: Hunting down a mammoth can
feed your people for several days.
CAVE: You won't find a better shelter.
But be careful, you never know what's
hiding inside.
CAMP: You begin your journey at your
own camp. Later you might encounter
camps of other tribes.
Location Details
SHELTER: The quality of the shelter at
this location.
PREY: The amount of animals that you
can hunt or fish.
RESOURCES: Everything that can be
gathered to eat or used for crafting.
Tribe Details
HEALTH: Health works like a shield.
Whenever your tribe takes damage, at
first health is decreased. When health
is down, damage will kill your people.
Damage can be caused by hunger,
freezing or fighting.
TOOLS: Improved tools accelerate
crafting. Their condition will decrease
by usage.
CLOTHES: Without proper clothing you
will freeze. Clothes wear out every day
WEAPONS: weapons increase the hunting
yield and pay off in fights. Their
condition will decrease by usage.
Action Menu
HUNT: If there is prey nearby you can
go hunting. Make sure your weapons are
sharp.
GATHER: Gather edible resources when
there is no prey available.
CRAFT TOOLS: Improve at the cost of one
resource.
CRAFT WEAPONS: Improve at the cost of
one resource.
CRAFT CLOTH: Improve at the cost of one
resource.
CRAFT ARTIFACTS: Craft fancy little
things at the cost of one resource.
Artifacts work like a currency.
REST: Take a rest to regain health.
You need a shelter and food to rest.
BUILD SHELTER: If there is no natural
shelter, you can build one.
ATTACK: Raid a camp of another tribe to
loot artifacts.
TRADE: Trade food against artifacts
with another tribe. The ratio is 2 food
for one artifact.
EXPLORE: Light a torch and explore a
cave, but be careful...
THE SABER-TOOTHED TIGERS: There are
hungry packs of saber-toothed tigers
roaming around. Once they got your
trace, they will follow your footsteps.
Sharp weapons and a defensible shelter
will help fighting them.
They don't like water and especially
don't like strong currents.
Hints
- The map will be the same every new
round, there is no random factor.
- Pay attention to location visuals.
Some contain detail information about
the location.
- There are four different endings.
